NOVICE CHAMPIONSHIP
The Novice Championship is aimed at drivers who are new to competitive outdoor racing and want to give it a go before jumping in with the intense Sprint Championship events.
Championship
The SRK Novice Championship is best four of four rounds. The overall champion will be the best placed SRK3 points scorer. SRK2 drivers are permitted to compete however they are not eligible for championship points, only individual round trophies. SRK1 drivers are not permitted to compete.
Format
Qualifying
Heat 1 (grid set from qualifying)
Heat 2 (grid set from heat 1; top 10 reversed)
Final
Qualifying
A qualifying sets the grid for race 1 before the top 10 finishers are reversed for race 2. A final then decides the class winner.

Who can race?
New drivers, SRK2 & SRK3 are permitted to race in Novice. SRK2 drivers do not compete for the Novice title, this is strictly an option for additional racing for them. SRK1 drivers are not permitted to race in Novice.

Weight Limit
There is a weight limit of 80kg required to compete in Novice, but if you are under this we can help you add ballast to reach the weight limit for fairer racing! Whilst this is a much more casual category that welcome's all new driver's, the 80kg weight limit is in place to stop anyone gaining an unfair advantage.

Teams
There is no team championship for Novice however this should not stop you from socialising with the teams in sprint if you intend on stepping up one day, teams will often keep an eye on other championships to scout them for the Sprints.
